The Hospitality and Commercial College (HACC) has offered English as a Foreign Language since 2004. HACC takes you from a phase of total beginner to conversational proficiency. You will learn to engage at a social level, be able to share ideas, express feelings, negotiate complex situations, and to participate in general discussions as well as so much more that is required especially sin this vast global village. English as a Foreign Language
HACC has offered English as a Foreign Language since 2004. The English course will take you from a
phase of total beginner to conversational proficiency. The course is offered in three phases: Foundation
Level, Intermediate Level and Advanced Level.
English Basics
The English Basics Course is best for students that have no prior understanding of the English
language. The course will take you from the basics of the alphabet and pronunciation.
Spoken English and Conversation Classes
HACC Spoken English and Conversation Classes are geared to help students
1) Think in English
2) Focus on English Fluency and Grammar
4) The skill to listen and repeat information in English.

The Spoken English and Conversation classes are here to help you speak English clearly, confidently,
and fluently. The classes are a good opportunity to practice Spoken English and develop your
conversational skills to be natural and fluent.

The programme is offered in three levels, namely: Foundation, Intermediate A and Intermediate
B. (Upper Intermediate)
 A learner manual is available for sale R290 each
Foundation Level = R290 and Intermediate Level = R290 from the Administration Office
 The tuition fee does not include finances requested for poetry and reading picnics or
excursions.
 A pre-entry assessment fee of R200 is payable to the administration office before any assessment
of a learner can be conducted.
 After assessment a learner will be placed in the right group, in accordance with his/her
performance.
 Special arrangements for private students and short-term studies are also accommodated.
